About

about us:

The name

M.Y. Farm is a joint venture between several branches of our family.  M.Y. stands for Mizrahi Yerton. We are located in the heart of New York in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain range. We raise happy animals to produce the tastiest food for our family and yours.

The Family

Farming is a family venture where Grandma’s beloved “puppies” our livestock guardian Maremma She-Ra and Great Pyrenees / Maremma mix Buck protect the Black Welsh Mountain Sheep; Opa shows us how it’s done whenever there is hay to stack in the barns; Tom is in charge of all things animal related; Robin is busy with the paperwork! And the kids help out wherever they can.

The farm

Over 230 acres of pastures and fields located on the East side of Sherburne in Chenango county.  The historic Dart Barn , our Traditional Irish Dexter cattle herd and Black Welsh Mountain sheep flock and Van Swan Ruminant barn are visible from Route 80.  The farmhouse, and  farm pigs,  are just a short walk down the road.
